Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of PixMovo, a free online image and file conversion service. By using PixMovo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Last updated: August 17, 2026.

The service

PixMovo provides browser-based tools for converting images, compressing files, extracting frames from videos, and similar file transformation tasks. The service is provided free of charge and does not require registration. Files you upload are processed on our servers and deleted within 15 minutes.

Acceptable use

You agree to use PixMovo only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

  • Upload content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that infringes copyright or trademarks you do not own, content that violates export control regulations, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or threatening.
  • Upload files containing malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit payloads, or any code intended to compromise our systems or the devices of other users.
  • Use the service to attack, scan, or probe other systems (e.g., using PixMovo as an intermediary to bypass firewalls or access controls).
  • Automate uploads at a rate that constitutes abuse. The site is rate-limited; scripts that exceed rate limits will be blocked. If you have a legitimate need for bulk conversion, contact us before running large batches.
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, including but not limited to guessing task IDs, brute-forcing download tokens, or exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure.
  • Reverse-engineer the service for the purpose of creating a competing service using our specific infrastructure or code. (Note: we use open-source libraries throughout; those libraries have their own licenses that permit competing use.)

Your content

You retain all rights to files you upload. PixMovo does not claim ownership, does not use your files for training AI models, and does not share your files with third parties. Your files are used only to produce the requested conversion output, and both the input and output are deleted within 15 minutes.

Intellectual property

The PixMovo brand, logo, site design, and code are the property of PixMovo. The underlying conversion libraries (ImageMagick, FFmpeg, libheif, poppler-utils, rembg, and others) are open-source projects with their own licenses; PixMovo uses them under the terms of those licenses. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use the PixMovo brand or logo without permission.

Availability

PixMovo is provided on an 'as available' basis. We aim for high uptime, but we make no guarantees about availability, response time, or the success of any particular conversion. A failed conversion does not affect your ability to try another file or another format. We may take the service offline for maintenance without notice.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that the conversion output will meet your requirements or expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixMovo, its operators, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD $100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PixMovo, its operators, and its affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

Changes to the service or terms

We may modify or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, announce them via a banner on the site. Continued use of PixMovo after a change constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Because PixMovo does not require accounts, termination typically means blocking your IP address or a range of IPs from accessing the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PixMovo is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be filed exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be reformed to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
